Policies & Etiquette
SMALL GROUP LESSONS
Signing-In
Please visit the sign-in sheet, review the Waiver and Release of Liability, and make all payment actions before yoga classes begin. All members need to be checked in before beginning class. If you are new to the class, please arrive a few minutes early to take care of all formalities and introductions. There will always be a more detailed version of the specific policies and etiquette (as this may vary from class to class) with the Sign-In sheet at the start of class.
Disclaimer
Schedules and prices of classes, fees, payment means and rates, memberships and/or products are subject to change without notice. Please always check the website, email, or sign in sheet at the beginning of class for the most current information.
Payment Options and Financial Responsibility
Payment is due before the beginning of each class and on the first class day of each new month. If in the event you can not make the monthly payment on time, you will be required to continue to make the drop-in fee payment of that class for each class thereafter until the new month has started.
Jennifer Flint accepts cash and personal checks. Returned checks will be subject to a $25 processing fee in addition to the original amount.
If the class is "donation based" please give only what your heart can afford.

If your class or event is canceled you will be notified by email.

Inclement Weather Cancellations/Holidays/Personal Days
If Chesapeake Public Schools are closed, classes will be cancelled. If Chesapeake Public Schools have a one or two-hour delay, the class will open. NOTE: Jennifer Flint will do her best to reschedule classes missed from holiday or weather closures but is not required to hold makeup classes. All cancellations, regardless the conditions, are non-refundable. If your class or event is canceled or rescheduled you will be notified by email only.
Show Respect for Teacher & Fellow Practitioners
Turn off all cell phones and pagers (or just leave them in the car!)
Remove shoes before entering the practice space.
Roll mats out quietly.
If you have arrived early and are talking to your fellow practitioners, please do so in a low volume so that others can begin their practice peacefully.
Move your mat around to make space in a crowded class. Please maintain lines as it helps us utilize the available space well
Move your mat around every few classes so that everyone gets to experience a different area of the space.
If you are new, have payment concerns, or if there is something you need to talk to the teacher about, please arrive early to do so or simply email Jennifer Flint directly.
If you need the instructor’s attention beyond class time and it is something that will take more than 5 minutes, Please consider booking the instructor’s time for a private session.
The classroom is only available 5 to 15 minutes before and after each class.
Please be on time.
Latecomers
Students can arrive a maximum of 5 minutes late! Latecomers should wait for seated meditation/centering to finish before entering the room. If for any reason you are going to be delayed beyond 10 minutes, Jennifer Flint requests that you do not come to class that day as you would be jumping straight into the practice without a proper warm up, which may prove to be unsafe and counterproductive to your yoga practice. It also disturbs the flow of the class community.
Saucha & Equipment Requirements
Students are required to provide their own gear and equipment, and come to class in the appropriate apparel and clothing.
Jennifer Flint Yoga will not be responsible for supplying yoga gear. If you are having trouble finding gear for sale, or need to borrow gear please email Jennifer Flint in advance for temporary use items.
